About Us
Meiers Floral opened in Nov., 2000. In 2010, we moved our studio to Minot and began to create exclusively wedding and special event work. Having found my creative niche in bridal and event design, I look forward to assisting brides to create floral designs for their special day. Professionally, I am a graduate of the Institute of Floristry, Ardith Beveridge, AAF, AIFD, PFCI, CAFA, MSF, SDFA, Director, Koehler and Dramm, Minneapolis, graduating from the basic floristry class along with several other classes including wedding bouquet designs.
Being a member of the North Dakota State Florist’s Association has provided me the opportunity to serve as an officer for eight years. I continue to work behind the scenes with our state association. I have been privileged to work side by side with nationally recognized guest designers. This hands on education has been immeasurable. These designers have become friends and colleagues with innovative and creative networking in the floral industry. In short, I am able to keep current with all the leading trends and designs through my many associates in the floral industry. For the past seven years, I have been an active member of the Society of American Florists organization, attending two national conferences. In the past, I have submitted several pieces of my bridal work to our floral industries leading national magazine, Florist Review. To date, I have had seven bridal pieces published - 2006, 2010 and 2011.
While attending the International Tulipe Festival in Ottawa, CAN, I designed and received 3rd place for my design entitled, “Lewis and Clark, The Expedition”. I was asked to represent North Dakota at this festival and consider attending and placing an honor.
All my experience, education and years of designing, allow me to put your bridal needs together in a creative way - making for your most memorable day!
